If you’re reading this, it’s probably because you’re juggling more roles than a Broadway star mother, mentor, boss, caregiver, encourager, healer, friend, wife, sister, or maybe even all of the above. I see you, sis, because I am you.
My name is Shemetris, and for years, I’ve worn numerous hats, including those of mom, mimi, ministry leader, certified coach, educator, speaker, and business owner. The most important roles I’ve learned to embrace are the ones that don’t come with applause: the inner work of healing, rediscovering my voice, and allowing myself to begin again no matter how many times life shifts beneath me.
Vital Change Academy was born out of my journey of transformation one that included deep valleys, unexpected turns, and divine redirections. It’s a space where faith, personal growth, and purposeful living come together. It’s not about perfection; it’s about being empowered to evolve. Here, we offer soul-stirring content, coaching resources, and soon a series of community groups to support women just like you who are navigating life transitions, burnout, or simply asking, 'What’s next for me?'

As a creative writer and lifelong dreamer, I launched Imagination Ink a creative writing and expression hub for children (and the childlike dreamers in all of us). From book-writing guides and downloadable prompts to virtual writing sessions for kids, this space empowers our young voices to rise with courage, clarity, and creativity, as healing and storytelling go hand in hand for adults and kids alike.
